At the end of 2007, there were 2.1 million children living with HIV around the world.

An estimated 320,000 children died of AIDS in 2007.

Nearly 9 of 10 live in Sub-Saharan Africa, followed by Latin America and South East Asia.

The above statistics define a child as a person under the age of 15.

All too often, they are left to die in appalling conditions without food or shelter. They have only newspapers to serve as a cover. They are turned away due to the stigma and poverty. Their last few days are often lived in pain, fear, and loneliness.
